Senior Account Handler - £50,000 - £70,000
Our clients, a leading Lloyd's Broker, is looking for a Senior Account Handler to join their team based in the City. The role will be split 2 days a week from the city office and 3 days a week working from home.
Purpose of the role:
To ensure effective handling of all allocated Property business and accurate preparation of all documentation in a senior role.
Key duties:
* Deal with new business, existing business and renewals and enter business on to the system.
* Respond promptly to intermediary queries and ensure that all communications with customers and/ or insurers, or other relevant business contacts are accurately recorded (in writing).
* Review proposals and make recommendations for insurance based on information gathered from the customer.
* Inform intermediaries of the policy cover, terms and conditions and claims protocol and reasonably ensure that the client understands the effect of breach of conditions or requirements. Record the details in the client records.
* Deal with mid-term policy queries and issue endorsements where appropriate.
* Give instructions and relay any issues to insurance providers/ broking department.
* Provides coaching in a reflective manner allowing new colleagues to take responsibility for their own development
* Takes on complex controversial negotiations
Person Skills/ Experience:
* Strong knowledge handling Property Insurance
* Has a detailed understanding of core Insurance principles
* Class of risk and product knowledge
* Able to contribute to product development and innovation or non-conventional tailoring of products to meet customer demands and needs
* Demonstrates ability to navigate clients, risks, claims history and integrate client documents and emails within Sector
* Can create master documents, tasks (Workflow) and reports
* Strong IT skills including all MS Office
* Excellent customer service skills with strong written and verbal communication skills
