Your new company
Hays Maintenance Department are looking for experienced caretaker to fill a temporary position based in Primary Schools in the Dartford Area.

We are calling out to candidates who have had previous relatable experience working in either a school service team or a similar caretaker role.

Your new role
As part of this role you will report to the Headteacher / Business Manager for ensuring the appropriate care, cleanliness, safety, security, maintenance and facilities management services for the premises and its site.

Management of staff providing cleaning, maintenance and care taking services. Advising and reporting on all aspects of site maintenance, including risk assessments.


Previous caretaking/site-keeping experience is desirable.

Previous experience of working within a school environment is ideal with knowledge of policies and procedures for security, alarm systems and health and safety.

You will also need to be able to carry out minor repairs, DIY duties, manual handling of deliveries and key holding as well as having the ability to manage your own work load.

You'll need to be able to demonstrate good self-organisation skills as well as a strong work ethic that can make a sustained impact on site management.
