Cover Manager

We are currently recruiting for a secondary school cover manager in the Maidstone area. This is a permanent, full-time role starting in September 2022.

You will manage the cover at the school, organising internal and external cover. You will use SIMS, delegate cover work and plan ahead for upcoming absences for events such as school trips, training days and exams.

You will constantly review the cover provision in the school to ensure that it is fit for purpose and ensure the teachers have organised lesson plans.

Successful candidates will also provide cover for KS3, KS4 and KS5. This role will require a candidate who can show resilience and adaptability as well as being able to build relationships with students and manage behaviour.

To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

* Knowledge of secondary school cover provisions and SIMS
* A good general knowledge of the national curriculum
* Ability to work with groups of students of secondary age (11 - 16)
* Strong organisational skills
* Ability to follow policies including behaviour management and rewards
