Payroll Administrator | Hythe | £26,000

Our client is looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator to be part of their small but growing team. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for Supporting Mangers with ensuring accurate recording of employee Time and Attendance (T&A) for the group and a Central support team, to include running back-office reports to check for errors and omissions.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Preparation of 4 weekly and monthly payroll exports and associated paperwork to send to the outsourced payroll company
• Liaise with budget holders to sign off on each payroll
• Prepare bank payroll upload templates
• Ensuring all pay rates files are kept up to date to communicate with the payroll company
• Weekly entering of agency shifts worked, into the company agency portal, liaising with the agencies to ensure that all shifts worked are captured each week.
• Liaise with the HR team to ensure that starters and leavers are processed accurately in the T&A system and communicated to payroll
• Distribution of P45’s to leavers
• Handling payroll queries, from employees directly

Skills & Qualities
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Proactive, hands-on team player
• Ability to work to changing priorities in a busy department
• A natural organiser with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Flexibility (busy periods will require working longer hours to meet deadlines)
• MS office (intermediate Excel)
