Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their established growing IT Support company based in Maidstone, Kent.

The salary and benefits of this role:

up to £28,000 salary depending on experience
Minimum of 8 days Working from Home per month
Parking permit is provided
The role entails:

This is a varied role where no two weeks will likely be the same
Providing direct end-user support to customers through the telephone and online web/email
Roughly 90% of the role will be office based with approximately 10% of time being spent at clients sites
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Customer service experience and confidence dealing with clients
Have a good understanding of Microsoft Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 7, XP, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012/2016/2019/2022
Previous experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, administration and set up
Good working knowledge of web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3 and Exchange)
Experience with Microsoft Exchange management on 2013/2016/2019
A good understanding of TCP/IP Networking and experience with DHCP, DNS and VPN
Previous experience with Office 365 tenant setup and administration
Experience with Firewalls and Switches and Routers
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
Experience with troubleshooting printers and copiers
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
