Shift Patterns- 4 days on 3 days off, shift times to be confirmed but is likely to be 10pm to 8pm or 9pm to 7am



Looking for a new role where you can make a difference every day? We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our Lambeth Step Forward Recovery Cluster service in Lambeth

Look Ahead is a dynamic, leading, not-for-profit care and support provider in London and the South East. As an organisation we deliver over 110 services, providing support to around 7000 customers each year. We work across mental health, homelessness, young people and learning disabilities so there are plenty of opportunities to grow and progress your career with us.

Lambeth Long Term Mental Health Service - is an accommodation-based service for people who have long term mental health and complex needs. The service operates from a number of hub sites across the borough. This post will be based in both Waterloo and Brixton.



Essential:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent or experience within charity/social care sector or mental health.

At least 1 years' experience of support work with people with Mental Health

Desirable:
- Experience of working with vulnerable people.



Job Overview

Night Support Workers enable people with needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.



Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer with complex needs to develop independent living skills as appropriate to their individual needs.
- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation.
- Undertake support planning and risk management.
- Deliver robust tiered medication support informed by external partners and in compliance with our Medication Policy & Procedure
- Maintain solid knowledge of relevant referral partnerships and specialist support agencies.
- Working together with family, primary and secondary health agencies to reduce risks and increase independence

- Enjoys social interaction and the company of others, joins in local activities to encourage customer involvement
- Exudes a warm friendly presence and open behaviour

- Is fundamentally calm and resilient, does not let emotion adversely affect them or obscure their judgement
- Has a practical and logical mind and is naturally well organised~
- Thrives on change and enjoys dynamic diverse environments
-Is confident with high levels of self-esteem
- Is respectful, articulate and sensitive in style of communication
-Is motivated towards excellence and improvement of personal performance with a can do attitude
- Ability to cope positively with challenging and diverse behaviour
