Are you experienced in student administration, comfortable with IT and adept at making the best use of systems, and committed to offering first rate customer service?
If so, this post leading the Central Student Administration (CSA) team at our Canterbury campus may be an ideal next step in your career.
You'll have extensive contact with a wide range of people, including students, academic staff, external bodies and the public, working to ensure the smooth running of the full spectrum of administration and events in the student lifecycle.
Besides an in depth knowledge and understanding of the processes associated with student administration, we are looking for people with well-developed communication and influencing skills and an ability to take the initiative and contribute to our 'can do' ethos.
As Central Student Support Administration Manager you can expect to get involved in:
supervising the day to day function for CSA and the Central Student Support Assistants, including managing workload and training
ensuring the smooth running of CSA work including the full range of student admin, examination processes and recruitment of invigilators, supporting KentVision, producing official documents
advising staff on policy and procedure
creating, updating, analysing and validating student records
What we are looking for in the right candidate:
experience of working within, and substantial knowledge of, the Higher Education (or related) sector and an understanding and/or appreciation of the key challenges facing it
in depth working knowledge and understanding of the complex business processes associated with student administration and the student lifecycle
a high degree of initiative, willing to take ownership and self-motivated with a professional and proactive approach to problem solving
experience of the application of IT and web based systems in the delivery of services
