We are currently working with a specialist technical business, based in Kent that operates across Europe. Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new business and managing existing accounts with a network of customers based across the Home Counties.

Duties will include:

Analyse the specific market sector and identify users' needs, prices, and trends
Create business opportunities by contacting potential users using several channels (cold
calling, attending exhibitions, meetings, networking, etc.)
Understand the customer needs and technical requirements to prepare the most adequate
technical and economic offer
Negotiate prices and contracts with potential customers
Plan marketing and sales strategies to achieve the expected targets
Support the existing network of agents and expand it in line with the strategy
Prepare, together with other staff members, tender material for the supply of the products to the public sector or large companies
Liaise with the other members of the UK and international sales teams
Become key in the successful development of the company

The ideal candidate must be able to work successfully as part of a small team and must have an entrepreneurial mindset. Technical education or previous experience in technical sales would be preferable. Knowledge of a second European language would be advantageous but not essential. Strong IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular, Excel is essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and niche business that can offer ongoing development and career progression. You will be based from home and will be expected to meet clients 70-80% of the week.
