SMS Driveforce are part of Kent's leading training and recruitment businesses to the transport and warehouse sector.

We are working with our national client to recruit a driver based in Tunbridge Wells. You will have a Category C licence and ideally have at least one years experience of driving 7.5t or class 2 vehicles along with a digi card and a valid CPC card.

You will be initially driving a 7.5t vehicle with a porter making deliveries of home improvement products in the local area using a pump truck and tail lift. You will be an excellent communicator having the need to interact with customers and staff on a daily basis as well as reporting your daily activity and other work related paperwork.

Hours of work are 07:00 to 16:00, 5 days per week on a rolling 3 week rota working 2 from 3 Saturdays. Working 40 hours per week the rate of pay is £10.55 per hour. Other benefits are 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays. Working Bank Holidays will be rewarded with double time plus a day off. There is also a staff discount of 20% in store after 6 months service. Full uniform will also be provided.

Having a HGV 2 licence will also enable you to drive other vehicles in their fleet as and when required at other stores. To assist this, you will be fully trained to use a lorry mounted crane (Hiab). When working at other stores you will receive a travel allowance of 45 pence per mile from your home.
