All leadership roles have an integral part to play in achieving the published strategy direction and will contribute overtly to the dynamics of the business.

To provide leadership, line management and oversight to the FAL Securities Settlements team, promoting excellent client relations through a high standard of communication, complying with relevant market deadlines and ensuring regulatory and trustee obligations are consistently met.





Role accountabilities:

Knowledge



* Knowledge of global financial markets and global settlements processes
* Knowledge of various asset classes, including unit trusts, equities, exchange-traded funds, bonds/gilts / US Treasury Bills and National Savings Certificates
* Strong understanding of the Financial Services industry, business process and underlying technologies
* Knowledge of relevant UK and International legal & regulatory requirements
* Knowledge of various corporate account structures
* Knowledge of trustee obligations and regulatory reporting requirements
* Knowledge of the annual business timetable
* Financial Services experience, including management of significant operational and systems, change programmes.
* Experience in advising on Financial Markets procedures in global markets
* Experience in people management, including continual performance reviews and recruitment
* Experience in working to multiple fixed deadlines
* Experience in working within the rules and regulations of Financial Crime, Anti-Money Laundering, CASS, FATCA and CRS
* Experience and understanding of managing financial and operational risk
* Experience in stakeholder management, particularly with internal and external clients, brokers, investment managers and fund managers



Professional Qualification

Preferred/Desired:

* CISI - Investment Operations Certificate
* ICA - Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering
* ICA - Certificate in Financial Crime Prevention
