Atlas Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector on behalf of our industry leading client

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be part of a team that has been set up to manufacture and repair a wide range of military specification boats. You will work within the manufacturing department covering the quality aspects of boat refit, repairs, operational defects and upgrades. You will ensure that products are fully compliant to drawing / purchase order requirements and fully conversant with local workmanship standards as applicable.

Your main responsibilities as a Quality Control Inspector will involve:

· Correcting Quality Control and assurance of all work in association with boats ensuring compliance with all business requirements

· Undertaking routine QC inspection activities without immediate supervision including stage inspections, final defect inspections and goods inward inspections

· Supporting customer and Lloyd's acceptance as required

· Supporting internal and external audits as required

· Working on customer sites correctly representing the integrity of the business

· Quality Control and Assurance of all documentation



Your skills and qualifications:

Essentials:

· Knowledge and understanding of regulatory standards and third-party certification

· Practical experience of Quality Control/Assurance tools and processes, especially root cause analysis

· Knowledge of relevant ISO standards

· Knowledge of the design and product lifecycle, including continuous improvement

· Technical skills with a Manufacturing and/or Operational background



Desirables:

· Knowledge of Maritime Boats/Ships or aerospace

· Knowledge of SAP
