Job Title: Port Operative

Salary: £30 - 40k depending on experience and licenses held

Location: Medway

Our client, one of the UK's leading port and logistics companies, are currently recruiting for Port Operatives with a range of stevedore experience, from slinger banksman through to qualified crane driver.

Duties include:

* Working flexibly as part of a team to meet changing priorities on a daily basis.
* Completing stevedore duties, including slinger banksman, crane driver, plant driver, FLT driver, and Mafi Tug master unit driver.
* Consistently demonstrating commitment to Health and Safety in the work environment, following company requirements and procedures, including completing effective risk assessments.
* Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, providing an industry leading service.

The successful candidate will have:

* Previous experience in a fast-paced operational environment, with knowledge of cargo handling and logistics.
* Appropriate MHE licenses and slinger banksman training.
* Flexibility to work shifts to enable a 24/7 service to be provided.
* Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.
* Good time and resource management skills.
* A full, UK driving license.
