Job Title: Buying Assistant

Salary: £20-26,000

Location: Maidstone

Due to ongoing growth, this friendly and supportive company are looking for a Buying Assistant with some relevant experience to join their team! Based in Maidstone and offering the potential for a long-term career in a variety of avenues throughout the business, this is a busy and fun role for someone with lots of enthusiasm who enjoys working with other people.

Duties include:

* Managing incoming queries over the phones from site operatives, merchants, and suppliers.
* Dealing with email enquiries accurately and effectively.
* Handling material requests and putting together purchase orders.
* Liaising effectively with suppliers about stock and deliveries.
* Processing and filing site documentation appropriately.
* Learning and developing buying skills in order to assist with a range of buying processes.

The successful candidate will have:

* A lively personality that thrives working with others.
* Confidence using the phone and computer.
* Great relationship building skills with people in different roles.
* The desire to do a really good job and be an integral part of the team.
* Ideally some experience, either in buying, or something industrial such as heating and plumbing.
