A rare opportunity has arisen within a large organisation based at their Medway Site for an experienced Engineering Stores Person ideally from an engineering/mechanical background. The job is on a temporary basis, however there may be an opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate, after a qualifying period.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the stores and raw materials stocks. You will have previous stock control experience, be IT literate in Word, Excel and Outlook and hold a full driving license with no disqualifications. A Counterbalance Forklift license is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

You duties will include:

* Manage the engineering stores including stock levels and monetary value
* Provide and facilitate the provision of parts to maintain the plant, ensuring adequate production materials are available and controlled
* Purchasing both parts and materials, placing and receipting orders
* Devise, participate in and implement cost reduction and process improvement plans.
* General housekeeping, ensuring the stores area in kept clean, tidy and well organised.

The hours of work are 07:00 - 16:00, Monday-Friday. 40 hours per week.
