Hays Education are recruiting on behalf of a school based in Canterbury for experienced SEND teachers to support in upcoming day to day and long term supply roles.
Here at Hays, we work with a number of schools across Kent. This means as a Teacher working through Hays you will have local work in your local area covering schools that only you want to work in.
We are recruiting for SEND Teachers to work on interim supply for a school that specialises in providing education to young people with SEMH or ASC educational needs. As part of their learning and development they incorporate a range of therapies to support for the sensory processing needs of pupils. The school has high standards and expectations around behaviour, achievement and personal development as they know that they can help young people make more progress within their school environment.

Your new role
We are currently recruiting for a full and part time Teachers to join the team ASAP on a supply basis. We are looking for exceptional people to work with exceptional pupils who have a range of additional needs.
We are seeking people who thrive on working in a challenging but immensely rewarding environment, who are passionate about supporting the development of social, life and independence skills and who truly want to make a difference in the lives of young people.
The appointed person will be expected to make a real and positive impact to the lives of children who have a range of care needs, life experiences and personalities that makes every day varied and interesting. You will be able to successfully build trusting student relationships and motivate and encourage student(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with living and learning tasks as appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed
It is essential that you have SEN Teaching experience, ideally within SEMH and ASC, and you can back it up with examples and references. Passion for the role is vital and a desire to improve education and develop students learning will make you the ideal candidate for this role. This role will be working in a very rewarding and well thought of setting based in Kent.
