Assistant Accountant
Location: Dover, CT17

Salary: £32,000pa

I am seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is nearing completion of their AAT Level 4 qualification or is willing to study for CIMA. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Business Partner and the broader finance team, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes.

Day-to-day of the role:

Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and manage fixed assets.
Prepare monthly management accounts and provide analytical insights.
Handle prepayments, accruals, and reconcile balance sheets.
Assist with IFRS16 lease accounting and statutory reporting.
Provide costings and support for project work as required.
Collaborate with internal teams (finance, sales, manufacturing) and external parties (auditors, tax specialists).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

AAT Level 4 qualification or near completion, with a willingness to study for CIMA.
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., lookups, formulas, pivots).
Experience with SAP would be beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, technical ability, and ability to work independently during busy periods.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
