Owen Paulo Legal are currently seeking a Conveyancing Fee Earner to join our shared ownership Resales team based in our Canterbury office. This role covers 08.30 – 17.00, Monday to Friday and is inclusive of a one hour lunch break.
You will be responsible for transactions up to exchange of contracts at which points the transactions will be passed to an experienced completion team to deal with the latter stages of your transactions. Once your caseload has developed, you will be supported by an assistant.
Key Duties of the Role:
• Dealing directly with clients, Housing Associations and their solicitors, estate agencies, mortgage lenders and brokers on the telephone and by email;
• Reporting to clients on all aspects of their transaction including legal papers and other documentation;
• Dealing with legal enquiries from clients and other associated third parties;
• Ensuring all necessary requirements/legal obligations are met throughout the transaction.
Requirements for the Role:
• Qualified solicitor/licensed conveyancer/FILEX/experienced non-qualified conveyancers;
• Experience of running conveyancing cases essential, as well as leasehold experience although experience in shared ownership transactions is not a necessity as we are able to train you in this respect;
• Ability to prioritise work, work to tight deadlines and keep calm under pressure;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to speak to people on the phone;
• Excellent client care skills.
