Fairtrade Vending Ltd is a well-established and growing vending company based in Rochester, providing vending services across the Kent and South-East areas. We operate and maintain a wide range of snack and hot beverage machines and pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service. To support our continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and hardworking individual to join our team.

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Vending Operative/Engineer to assist in restocking vending machines, performing routine maintenance, and carrying out repairs. You will work from a planogram to ensure the machines are stocked efficiently, clean, and well-maintained. Your role will also involve proactive stock management and ensuring machines are fully functional to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Picking stock from the warehouse and restocking vending machines using a planogram.
Cleaning and maintaining vending machines to ensure they are presentable and functioning properly.
Using initiative to replace slow-selling items in the machines with more popular alternatives.
Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on vending machines as necessary.
Assisting with machine installations when required.
Ensuring machines are operational at all times, troubleshooting faults, and performing basic repairs.
Working independently and as part of a team to meet operational goals and deadlines.

Requirements:

Previous experience in the vending industry and a good knowledge of coffee and snack vending machine engineering is essential!
Experience with vending machine brands such as Coffetek, Evoca, Sanden Vendo, Klix, and Darenth is preferred.
A full UK driving license is required as a company van will be provided.
An Enhanced DBS certificate is required (or willingness to undergo a DBS check) as our services are provided to educational and high-security establishments.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized while working under pressure.
Team player with good communication skills.
