Telecom Civil Engineer

Tinder Corporation provides a full suite of engineering services within the telecommunications sector and works in close partnership with various networks including OpenReach and Virgin Media. The business provides complete turnkey engineering solutions in the telecoms space, including groundworks, telecoms civils, cable pull, splicing & testing and CPE works.

We are looking for experienced telecom civil engineers to join our growing civils team to work on both the PIA and Virgin Media networks within the Kent, Surrey and Sussex region.

The role focusses around a combination of repairs and maintenance tasks as well as new connections and related, on both of these networks and typically includes;

Blockage clearances
Trackwork/ductwork
Toby box installation
Frame repair/recover/replace
Duct repair/replace
Chamber demolish/rebuild/build
Slew-and-lower

You must have experience in providing civils works within the telecoms industry and will need the relevant qualifications listed below.
SA006, SA022,
K008, Q011, Q012, Q013, Q019, Q020, Q021, Q022, Q023, Q024, Q025, Q036
NRSWA LA, O1, O2, O3, O4, O5, O6, O7, O8
Smart Awards is preferable.

You must have a clean driving license for at least 12-months.

This is a full time, permanent role at 45-hours a week, with options for night-work and weekend work paid with an appropriate uplift.

Core Skills;

Experience working in a similar role, working for or on behalf of the Openreach and/or Virgin Media Networks.
Ability to conduct risk assessment and hazard identification, with a strong emphasis on Health and Safety practices.
Demonstrable experience and a proven track record working in a networking engineering environment. (preferred).
Excellent organisational skills.
Clear and concise communication abilities.
Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
Ability to foster excellent working relationships within your team, with your manager, and with other teams within the company, with an excellent customer service attitude.
A proactive approach to improving efficiencies and working smarter.
