Due to maternity leave, we have a temporary vacancy for a Purchase Ledger Clerk from April 2019 on a 1 year contract. If you have a flair for numbers and would like to be part of a finance team with a difference, we would love to hear from you. You might be looking to move into a Purchase Ledger role or be looking for a new challenge.

This role will be diverse and include:
• Coding and Inputting Invoices onto Sage 50 on a daily basis
• Checking supplier statements
• Dealing with supplier queries
• Processing and paying pro – forma invoices
• Tidying/reconciling Purchase Ledger monthly
• Processing staff cash expense claims monthly
• Analyzing train costs monthly
• Analyzing staff mileage monthly
• Managing and reconciling petty cash
• Putting together monthly Purchase Ledger figures and managing weekly payment runs
• Processing new company credit card applications
• Dealing with any queries on company credit
• Coding company credit card receipts
• Answering external phone calls
• Filing
• Assist on audit
• Any other ad-hoc duties required

We are looking for someone with the following skills:


• Ability to use own initiative and has attention to detail
• Hands on attitude
• Knowledge of Excel essential
• Knowledge of Sage Line 50 preferable but training will be given if required
• Enjoys multi-tasking
• Willing to help in any area of the Accounts Department as and when required
• Experience in a purchase ledger role is desirable but not a necessity
