We have a rare opportunity opened up in our kitchen, we are looking to recruit a new experienced cook to assist the head cook in a busy catering kitchen which has a 5 star food hygiene rating.
The Hollies is a well-established residential home located in Gravesend, Kent. Our kitchen supplies homemade meals three times a day for 40+ residents and staff. We are looking for an experienced cook from a similar environment who can hit the ground running, improve our current menus and work alongside the head cook and three catering assistants.
Duties of the job will include:
• All aspects of kitchen prep, cooking and serving
• Daily cleaning and regular deep cleans
• Ordering and stock control
• Using initiative for menu ideas
• Interacting with residents for meal choices and ideas
We are ideally looking for someone with 5 + years’ experience in a similar role who possesses relevant catering/hygiene qualifications.
The hours of work with be 30 per week (possible extra shifts for holiday cover/sickness) our shift patterns are 8-2pm, 8-6pm or 2-6pm and are based over 7 days a week. Weekends/bank holidays/Christmas are shared fairly but you must be available.
In return we can offer a negotiable rate of pay, pension scheme, holidays, subsidised gym, regular team building events and a stable friendly working environment.
