Head Of Administration

The Head of administration is accountable to the Home Manager and will be responsible for the following duties.

• Management of non-clinical policies & procedures ensuring the requirements of CQC are met

• To complete the Home’s off-duty and annual leave for the night staff and admin staff

• To manage and support the administration team

• Manage the admissions process for new residents to Pembroke House

• To be the primary contact for John Cornwell Victoria Cross National Memorial Almshouse issues

• To co-ordinate admissions into the Day Care Centre

• To support the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager as and when required

• To represent the RNBT, promoting the Trust’s image and that of Pembroke House as required

Skills Experience and Personal Qualities

The person holding the position of Head of Administration should have the following qualifications, qualities and competencies.

• Leadership, management, communication and administrative skills at NVQ level 3 or working towards

• Strong, resilient and outgoing personality

• Enthusiasm, patience and flexibility

• Experience of working in a senior administrative role

• Competent and familiar with office based IT systems including Word and Excel

• Competent in mentoring and conducting appraisals and supervisions

• Knowledge of Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards would be an advantage

• Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and prioritise own workload effectively

• Appreciation of importance of confidentiality and sensitivity in dealing with residents and staff
