We are leading manufacturers of high reliability connectors and cable harnesses that are used in commercial jet engines, for space exploration and cutting edge military applications and much more. We are looking for a Quality Engineer to work within our skilled Quality department.
Role responsibilities:
• To assist the Quality Assurance Manager with the AS9100 Quality Management System
• Internal auditing
• Control of Documents and Records
• Develop and implement procedures and processes in line with the Company Strategic Plan.
• Prepare data for Monthly Management Reports which supports the Business Strategic Plan and KPIs.
• Assist in the coordination of all Inspection, qualification and test activities associated with product prior to booking into Finished Goods.
• Lead Customer Focussed Team in Quality Assurance Activities as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Promote Quality Culture (Qiii)
• Elimination of Root Cause with Customers and Suppliers.
• Strong interaction with IT systems including Glovia (MRP) and QCBD Internal IT Business management system
Ideally you will be
• Educated to HND level or equivalent in either Quality, Electrical/electronic or Mechanical engineering.
• Strong quality and continuous improvement background gained within medium to high volume manufacturing where batch traceability is required.
• Familiar with auditing procedures
• IT literate – Effective use of Microsoft Office software
• Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Effective communicator at all levels both verbal and written
• Able to read, understand and interpret engineering information
• Continuous Improvement and 5S / 7S Mindset
• Problem Solving Skills with in an engineering environment - preferably RCCA
• Strong working knowledge and understanding of Quality and or Aerospace Standards ( ISO 9000, AS9100)
