Experienced Customs Clearance Administrator required for an International Road Freight Transport company based at Queenborough, Kent
30 working hours per week with occasional unsocial hours.
Good long term prospects.
We are looking for a candidate with the following knowledge:
Customs procedures
Tariff classifications
Customs valuations and origin and shipping documentation
Experience of working with HMRC & Border Force is desirable
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responding to requests for customs services providing effective & efficient solutions to facilitate adherence to operational & service deadlines
Customs clearance
Preparation of Import & Export Customs documentation for transporting products between the UK and the EU, ensuring all requirements are in accordance with HMRC regulations.
Collating and checking documents relating to import & export shipments
Entering details onto specialised software where required
Preparation and control of T-forms, (transit documentation) to enable the movement of goods into UK & Europe
Liaising with customers
Arranging and ensuring that import Transit Documentation is discharged
This job also requires you to liaise with officials in various agencies to ensure that goods are cleared through customs or quarantine
