The Role:

This is an independent role in fast-paced operational environment. You will be required to drive improvements in performance by evaluating processes, credit risks and establishing strong relationships with the customers and a number of internal teams to ensure timely cash collections and minimise bad debt risk exposure.

Key Duties:

* Manage chasing of outstanding accounts and maximise debt recovery
* Achieve maximum cash collection in line with set targets
* Handle disputed invoices and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms
* Reconcile customer accounts as required
* Work with the Corporate team to ensure any cash allocations are completed in a timely manner for all accounts and carry out regular account reviews for unallocated cash/credit notes
* Monthly reporting to stakeholders highlighting current issues
* Maintain debtor performance statistics with relevant commentary reported to Management Accountant on a regular basis
* Assist with process improvements
* Escalate the debt collection process
* Proactively highlight and manage any negative cash flow impacts
* Investigate alternative approaches to dealing with the customers' debt and corresponding credit balances
* Identify accounts in financial difficulty and liaise with Management Accountant to take appropriate action to limit losses
* Build strong customer relationships
* Raise, log and monitor refund requests, customer write off and credit notes (re-invoicing) logs

It is essential that you have proven credit control experience with excellent Excel skills. You must be self-sufficient and confident over the phone
