About the role: Are you a conscientious and hard-working individual? Do you work with a high level of professionalism in everything that you do? Are you keen to join an inspirational academy? The Hundred of Hoo Academy has a rare and exciting opportunity to appoint a College Administrator - Apprentice to join us in February 2022. Our successful candidate will be pivotal to the smooth running of the College office - you’ll be the first point of contact for students and parents and will be able to turn your hand to any admin-related task that is required. The role will mainly be based in a College office, however, our successful candidate will have a willingness to be flexible in the working environment. Our new team member will also have a passion to work within the education sector.

Applicants should be professional, personable and committed to providing an excellent service on behalf of the school and wider Trust, and above all else our appointed candidate will have a positive work ethic and can-do attitude. Apprenticeship Summary
Annual wage: Actual salary £8,489 per annum (£10,000 full time equivalent)
Working weeks: Monday - Friday, Term Time + 1 week inset
Total hours per week : 37 hours per week (including the 20% training element of the Apprenticeship Programme)
Apprenticeship duration: 18 months
Programme delivery type: All modules are delivered as online learning which can be completed at your place of work
Start date: February 2022
Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level Apprenticeship (Level 3)
Apprenticeship standard: Business & Administration
Essential entry qualifications: GCSEs A* - C, Maths and English

Future prospects: This apprenticeship could be the start of a very promising and career within the wider business and administration remit. We endeavour to offer further employment following successful performance and completion of the Level 3 course with future opportunities to extend your training with a higher level apprenticeship programme. We offer in-house Continuing Professional Development and you’ll be part of a highly experienced and efficient office team – you’ll be learning from the very best!

Essential skills:

Excellent organisational and planning skills with outstanding attention to detail
Demonstrate a high level of initiative
Computer literacy in usual office applications
Ability to work on own initiative
Committed and enthusiastic
Excellent attendance and time-keeping record.


Working with our academy: The Hundred of Hoo Academy is a unique all through academy with pupils from Reception up to Sixth Form, and whilst this role supports the entire academy, it is most likely the successful candidate will work with pupils aged 11-16 on a daily basis. In September 2011, The Hundred of Hoo converted to academy status. Just one year later, Ofsted judged the academy as “good with outstanding features” recognising the relentless focus and ambition that we have. In September 2015 the academy welcomed its first Reception class thereby extending its age range to 4-year-old children. This exciting provision demonstrates the academy’s sense of ambition to serve the community where pupils’ academic journey represents a cradle to university principle.

We are delighted to announce that following a recent Ofsted inspection in July 2018 the academy has been judged 'Good' with 'Outstanding' features in terms of our early years provision and effectiveness of leadership and management.

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2021, our Trust comprises 31 geographically organised academies (15 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating 20,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff.
