Mill Operative
Based in Rochester, Kent
Salary: £19,500 + £2,604 p/a Shift Allowance
Hours of work: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week 10pm-6am
Permanent position
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure the product is manufactured to plan and to the correct specification and quality
* Ensure all required materials are on the line, at all times, to meet the plan in order to minimise waste associated with changeovers and running conditions of the mill
* Minimise packaging waste by ensuring the mill is correctly set up, the correct rice, the correct packaging and date codes are being used while packaging on the machines
* Maximise the throughput of the mill running
* Run the mill at the required speed setting
* Assist with the repairs.
* Manage the loss time to minimum by ensuring the changeovers, rice changes, and shift changes are as quickly as possible
Key Skills required:
* Previous experience within a similar role or in food manufacturing environment
