Production Shift Manager
Mid Kent
c. £44,000 + overtime
Shift pattern (day & night work)

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Shift Manager to join my client, an established manufacturing company, who are based in Mid Kent.
With c.15 direct reports, you will be able to lead by example and positively influence the team of supervisors and operatives whilst ensuring quality, costs and overheads are managed and maintained.

Duties include:
• Responsible for managing, leading and motivating a team of c.15 direct reports to include: training, reviews, 1:1’s, sickness, absence & return to work meetings
• Identifying areas which may require additional training needs and providing training sessions to the team
• Responsible for Health & Safety across the site
• Ensuring the site is compliant with all SHE regulations looking at ways to improve SHE culture within the team
• Assisting with the review and execution of ‘Safe Systems of Work’ and risk assessments
• Consistently striving for an excellent continuous development working ethic
• Ensuring a quality product is produced whilst keeping to budgets
• Responsible for budget control (raw materials, labour, quality, waste and overheads)
• Stock management
• Speaking with contractors and suppliers in a professional manner to maintain repeat business

To be considered for this role, you must have / be:
• Strong management experience within a manufacturing environment
• A strong relationship builder who can work with stakeholders at all levels
• Sound knowledge surrounding SHE and H&S regulations
• Excellent mechanical knowledge
• Motivated
• IT competent
