Financial Systems & Reporting Associates | Ashford/Remote | £28-32K

As a Financial Systems & Reporting Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial systems and reporting team. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and supervise the consolidation system, providing crucial support to our European Finance team, International Reporting, and International FP&A Teams. This role encompasses various aspects of financial systems, from master data management to troubleshooting technical issues and contributing to change management processes.

Responsibilities:
• Assist during the month-end close cycle, ensuring smooth operations
• Maintain FX rates and ensure compliance
• Investigate and resolve package/report issues
• Analyse data to enhance reporting consistency across the network
• Contribute to the development of various financial packages
• Maintain master data
• Oversee user management processes, collaborating with Internal Audit for compliance
• Play a role in change management, improving reporting functionalities
• Monitor support tickets and maintain efficient technical support
• Evaluate new reporting requirements and their impact
• Support ongoing training initiatives
• Assist with onboarding newly acquired companies, including data integration and user training
• Contribute to ad-hoc improvement projects

Experience
• Must be AAT qualified, preferably studying for professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent)
• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in finance, preferably in financial accounting and consolidation background
• Have a passion and understanding of Finance, Finance Systems and Analysis
• Previous experience of SAP/BPC (or other consolidation reporting systems) preferred but not required as training will be provided
• Ability to navigate systems and interrogate high volumes of data
• Very high level of accuracy & attention to detail required
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to work well in time-pressured environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent team player and can work independently as well
