Are you an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper looking for a new opportunity in Maidstone? Our client, a reputable company in the region, is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team. If you possess strong financial acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for maintaining accurate financial records, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
-Financial Record Maintenance: Accurately record financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll entries, and bank reconciliations.
-Data Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of all financial data, maintaining up-to-date ledgers and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
-Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports, providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.
-Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure adherence to tax regulations and deadlines.
-Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
-Communication: Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to address financial queries and provide timely financial information.
-Problem Solving: Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in financial records promptly.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a similar industry.
-Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
-Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
-Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
-AAT or similar accounting qualifications preferred.
