This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified or someone with 1-5 years PQE looking for their 1st or 2nd move out of practice.
The Senior Reporting Accountant is responsible for reviewing the monthly income statement and balance sheet submissions and liaising with the businesses on any queries, preparing consolidation and push down entries into the consolidation system and supporting the leadership team in ensuring accurate consolidated financial information is reported for UK and Europe.
The role provides ad-hoc technical support to Finance teams across International divisions; preparing documentation for share based payments, accounting for the defined benefit pension and leading the lease accounting (both under IFRS and US GAAP). This role will collaborate with the tax teams to ensure international recharges are reported correctly in the financial statements as well as preparing monthly postings and reports for the International overhead costs and collaborating with FP&A teams on any variances.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with the reporting teams to resolve any intercompany variances.
- Collaborate with international reporting teams on a regular basis to ensure consistency in reporting.
- Prepare and support the monthly financials for group finance teams on submissions.
- Support on team projects to realign the data to make the reported figures more accurate.
- Prepare quarterly and annual deliverables for specific reporting requirements from the reported data and working papers for inclusion in the UK statutory accounts, assisting external auditors where required.
- Prepare documentation evaluating the impact of the new financial reporting requirements and help design implementation plans across the International entities.
- Prepare the supporting documentation for the leadership team on complex accounting topics by working with and gathering information from the International Finance teams.
About you:
This role will suit newly qualified ACA or ACCA accountant or someone with 1-5 years PQE looking for their 1st or 2nd move out of a recognised practice firm. You will need good working knowledge financial accounting and auditing ideally with exposure to IFRS, any understanding of US GAAP would be beneficial. Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills with prior experience with dealing with internal and external stakeholders with a business partnering approach.
