HR Officer
  £22000 - £26000 per annum + 26000

Key Duties

* To manage and oversee all aspects of the Recruitment and Selection process, ensuring effective, efficient and consistent processes across the Trust, to capture the individuality of each academy, including a bank of values based standard adverts, job descriptions and person specifications
* To undertake and oversee on the on-boarding process for all new starters, ensuring all employees joining are issued with an offer letter and contract in line with the terms and conditions of their employment in a timely manner.
* Ensure that all pre-employment checks are completed for new members of staff and communicated to the Headteacher/Manager in a timely manner
* Liaise regularly with colleagues across the Trust to ensure new starters are accounted for and are subject to an induction process.
* Ensure that all statutory checks and processes are in place for all staff, volunteers, governors and regular visitors.
* Maintain a database of apprentices tracking their age/pay/employment arrangements.
* Support with the development of the HR service by being an advocate for the new system and processes and assist others in getting the best from the system.
* Provide monthly management reports including sickness absence, recruitment, starters, leavers and casework.
* To ensure the Finance Department are kept up to date with all contracts and variations to pay



What you\'ll need to succeed
Strong knowledge and extensive experience of using HR systems (Essential)
Extensive experience of working as a HR professional, ideally in the public sector
Knowledge of relevant HR policies and procedures, including some knowledge of employment law (Essential)
Experience of managing the recruitment and selection process activities (Essential)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with a diverse client group (Essential)
CIPD Level 3 (Desirable)
The ability to research, analyse and reason logically within tight and conflicting time frames (Essential)
Able to act on own initiative, dealing with any unexpected problems that arise (Essential)
Able to identify work priorities and manage own workload, whilst ensuring that lower priority work is kept up to date (Essential)
Can translate policy guidance into practical action (Essential).
