Benefits & Payroll Officer
  £35000 per annum
  West Malling, Kent
  permanent,full-time


As part of the People, Talent & Learning Team and working closely with the finance team you will play a crucial role in managing the in-house payroll ensuring seamless reward and benefits administration. This role is predominantly remote with occasional travel to head office as and when needed.

Responsibilities:

- To oversee implementation of relevant system changes and roll out new processes
- Lead end to end payroll input process and compliance including monthly audit and sign off process
- Oversee admin of employee benefits (including but not limited to Pension Plans and Cycle to Work Schemes)
- Be the IR35 legislation expert for the company and ensure company activities align with relevant processes and legislation
- Support internal auditing and quality management on payroll and contractor compliance including IR35 adherence
- Complete reports for HMRC on a monthly basis
- Conduct audits to verify that all contractors and freelancers are correctly classified under IR35 legislations

Qualifications & Experience:

- Proven experience in a similar role or working in a Payroll Position at Officer or Senior Officer level
- Strong working knowledge of reward and benefits administration
- Strong understanding and previous experience of working with contractors that adhere to IR35 regulations
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous experience in successfully implementing payroll systems and processes
- Working knowledge of of ADP Payroll system and Sage Intacct system desirable
- Experience of working in a standalone payroll position desirable
