Canterbury Christ Church University are looking for a proactive and detail-orientated individual to join Registry Services as a Coordinator within the Assessments Team.

We are seeking a confident and outgoing candidate with a passion to continuously improve our student and staff experience through effective and collaborative administration.

This role offers the opportunity for candidates to spend some of their time working remotely. Attendance on campus will be a minimum of 2 days per week to ensure that the team has regular opportunities to work together on campus. Where there are in-person activities events or meetings that this post holder needs to support or engage with, the post holder will be required to attend campus for additional days with appropriate notice.

The Role

The role will work within a small team of Coordinators and administrators within the Assessment Team. The Coordinators are responsible for organising and running the University’s exams and assessment processes across all the University’s directly delivered and partnership courses. The role holder will work proactively and flexibly with the Assessments Team and other teams within Registry Services to deliver an accurate, timely, and student-focused service in a busy environment.

They will be required to show considerable initiative, and develop and maintain effective communication links, working closely with colleagues across the University and in UK and International Partner institutions.

The role holder is expected to gain an in-depth knowledge of the University’s regulations and how these are managed in the student record, as they will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective systems, procedures, and accurate records in line with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). The role holder will be responsible for the support and guidance of a small number of administrators on a day-to-day basis.

The Person

We would like to hear from you if you enjoy solving problems and have excellent communication and administration skills. Attention to detail is important in this role to ensure records are accurate and that data is timely and can be relied upon. You will need experience of working with student records and/or assessments processes, and of using complex databases.

You will have experience of providing advice and guidance to a variety of stakeholders on regulatory, technical, and complex administrative procedures. You will be proficient at managing competing priorities and responding to change to ensure a customer-focussed service in a fast-paced environment.
