We are supporting a local college in the recruitment of a temporary Industry Liaison Officer who will have the responsibility for organising and managing work placements for students. The Industry Liaison Officer will be involved in completing visits, ensuring safeguarding and health and safety is complied with, communicating with employers and reporting to the Head of Department.
Ideally the candidate will have an understanding/experience working in any Technical Industries - IT/Computing, Carpentry, Art, Automotive, Creative, Engineering, Plumbing/Gas, Construction, you may have worked within internal recruitment or Human Resources and be comfortable in approaching the Colleges Clients.
* Strong communication skills, good written and verbal English
* Proficient in MS Applications, Word and Outlook
* Driving License and car - expenses paid when meeting clients
* No qualifications but good commercial knowledge
This role will start asap and will be ongoing within the College
Working 30 hours per week Tuesday to Friday.
The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks - you will ideally be on the update service.
