Background

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking for a new administrative challenge based within the university sector. This opportunity would suit a candidate who enjoys a pro-active and engaging role collaborating closely with colleagues from other departments.
We are seeking a friendly, positive and motivated individual to join our Team. A student first approach is essential along with a passion for developing effective and streamlined processes that support a positive student and staff experience. Experience of working as part of a team to achieve a shared goal and experience of higher education is essential and recent experience of Faculty based Academic Administration processes would be a distinct advantage.

The Role

The role will be responsible for providing high quality administrative support for the academic courses of study, at all levels and modes of study. Leading the Faculty Academic Administration team, the role holder will work closely with other support functions including Faculty Quality, Faculty Operations and other central services to support academic colleagues in delivering an outstanding student experience from admission to graduation.  
The successful candidate as one of three team leaders, will collaboratively lead on areas within the team to include: 
• Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery and continuously identifying areas that impact academic administration and make appropriate recommendations for improvements in line with the strategic plan.
• Autonomous decision-making capacity and to manage their own work priorities and staff issues within their area of management responsibilities.
• Liaising with key contacts from across the Faculty, wider institution and with external stakeholder to meet the Faculty’s aims and objectives and to identify, develop and deliver solutions to problems identified

How will you work?

We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is currently hybrid, made up of three days office based and two days remote working. There will be a requirement for the successful candidate to be 100% office based whilst undergoing full training.
