Insurance Technician

We are seeking an experienced individual to join a fast growing Team within the Technical Operations Division.This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to work with team members based in the UK front office and offshore in India, supporting the processing and the resolution of queries related to the end to end processing of a premium.
Duties include:
Types and classes of business that will be worked on as part of this role:
Types of Business - Binders, line slips, Retrocession, Excess of Loss, Consortiums , Direct insurance, Facultative, Variable multi line packages
Classes of business - Marine, Energy, Motor, Facultative, Cyber, Property, Cancellation, Aviation, Space, Liability, Construction, Contingency, Film Productions, Terrorism, Agriculture, Funds at Lloyds, Political Risk, Entertainment, Kidnap & Ransom, Accident and Health, Mortgage Indemnity
* Experienced in the end to end activity of invoice processing
* Strong understanding and experience in structure and format of slips and cover notes.
* Good understanding of Market Reform Contract (MRC)
* Ability to demonstrate an excellent level of technical reinsurance knowledge and understanding of the Industry and its regulators
* Strong understanding and experience working with the Bureau (Xchanging as was now DXC) in the workings of accounting and settlement (A&S) protocols and activity as they relate to the function of premium process and signings
* Demonstrates a working understanding of resources available in relation to tax and vat requirements as it relates to premium processing activity
* Working understanding of the financial aspects of the end to end premium process
* The role includes working with our Accounting and Credit Control Team, with accountability to support the reconciliation and collection of premium and keep funding and bad debt to a minimum
* Regular liaison with company Compliance and Regulatory Team to support the setting up of trading partners as well as ensuring we meet the required sanction and licensing rules are key part of the role
Candidates requirement:
* Strong understanding of technical support in the Lloyds/Company market.
* Experience creating and processing MRC slips
* Familiarity with Xchanging functions
* Verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Demonstrates high degree of problem solving
* Work under some pressure at peak periods maintaining order control and quality out puts
* Ability to be able to manage own priorities and know when to escalate non routine issues
* Demonstrates positive and tenacious attitude and can do behaviour with strong accountability
