The Wire Belt Company Limited is a leading manufacturer of metal conveyor belts for product handling and processing and we currently have an exciting opportunity available for an Apprentice Machine Setter to join our team in Sittingbourne.
As an Apprentice Machine Setter, you will be responsible for setting and maintaining our special purpose wire forming machinery as well as attending machines in the event of a breakdown. Carrying out random and final inspections of our product is also essential to this role which is based in our busy Production area.
Your apprenticeship training will commence in-house and will be supported with a day release course, consisting of classroom-based learning, which will begin in the new academic year in 2025. You will also receive support from a mentor.
If you are a flexible, self-motivated individual who is reliable, has excellent time-keeping skills and is able to work on their own as well as part of a team then we would like to hear from you. You should also have a keen interest in engineering and be able to demonstrate this.
Production bonus payable after a successful probation period.
Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 7.30 am – 4.15 pm, Friday 7.30 am – 2.45 pm. 40 hours per week.
