Where you’ll work: The role is based at the Dartford campus, but the nature of the work will require travel to any of the College sites as required.

Your hours: This is a part-time, permanent position, working 22.2 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum.

Working within North Kent College’s Art, Fashion and Photography curriculum area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitability qualified, experienced, and passionate individual to join the team as a Senior Instructor.

The successful candidate will take prime responsibility of all equipment within the Photography department and will work with Photographers at Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4. Additionally, the Senior Instructor will be accountable for assisting in the maintenance and organisation of the practical resources used, as well as providing professional technical advice/assistance to the learners and colleagues. As a Senior Instructor, you will be required to teach up to 250 hours across the academic year.

Applicants need hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant photographic subject and a solid understanding of the occupational area. Experience working in a commercial photography studio and/or a Further Education environment or training facility in an instructor capacity is desirable, although not essential.

In return, we’ll give you 33 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and you’ll be enrolled onto the Teachers' Pension Scheme (TPS) which also includes life assurance. You’ll also benefit from free parking and have access to a range of onsite facilities including a nursery, restaurants and coffee shops.
