Our client, is a Lloyds Motor Underwriter seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join their High Net Worth and Specialist Motor team in their Romford office. This role is ideal for a confident, personable, and ambitious individual with experience dealing with motor insurance policies
Main Duties:
* Proactively develop and maintain relationships with brokers and key stakeholders to drive improved performance and results.
* Manage administrative requirements for the team and assist with day-to-day business operations.
* Underwrite mid-term activity for existing clients and support underwriters with new business enquiries.
* Review and resolve account queries, including aged debt management.
* Issue and manage documentation for broking partners.
* Participate in professional, technical, and career development training (internally and externally).
* Ensure compliance with FCA and all regulatory requirements.
* Assist in training colleagues on systems and processes.
* Support planning and delivery of system testing.
* Contribute to discussions for business improvements.
Essential Skills Required:
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
* Account handling or underwriting experience dealing with motor insurance.
* A proactive and efficient approach to meeting brokers' and clients' high service expectations.
* Attention to detail and the ability to manage administrative tasks accurately.
* Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the insurance industry.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in underwriting
* A proven track record of driving business improvements and results.
What you need to know:
* Permanent role.
* Based in Romford.
* Salary: up to £28,000 dependent on experience
