The Role

We are seeking a Junior Estimator to join our growing estimating team based in Dartford, Kent. No prior experience is necessary, as full training and support will be provided. This role is ideal for a motivated individual looking to develop a career in sales and estimating within the construction sector. You will work closely with experienced professionals and have the opportunity to progress to a senior estimator role as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing accurate and competitive quotations for projects.
• Obtain pricing from existing suppliers and build strong working relationships.
• Identify and establish relationships with new suppliers to expand sourcing opportunities.
• Conduct follow-ups on previously quoted work via email and phone.
• Review and interpret tenders and bid documents, collate relevant information, and assist in pricing and bid writing.
• Work closely with the estimating team to ensure smooth project delivery.

What We Are Looking For:

• No previous experience required – just a willingness to learn and a proactive attitude.
• A reliable, enthusiastic, and motivated individual who is keen to develop new skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work methodically.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills to assess costs and pricing structures.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with suppliers and clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is desirable but not essential.
