We are seeking a talented and experienced College Accountant to join our Finance Team and play a crucial role in managing the College’s financial operations.
As the College Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the College, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning. You will work closely with the Bursar and Senior Leadership Team to maintain the financial health of the College.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Supervise payroll, tax filings, and pension administration.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and other external stakeholders.
• Support the development and implementation of financial policies and controls.
About You:
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in financial management, preferably within an educational or not-for-profit setting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial reporting systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities effectively.
