Defined Wine Ltd is a contract-only winemaking facility based outside Canterbury, it has no vines or brands of its own but instead makes wine for other people.
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join what is a rapidly growing business. They will be responsible for invoicing, bills and other accounts activity.
Main Responsibilities:
• Invoicing – Responsible for all invoicing of winery and production work in line with winery software and client agreements
• Accounts – Maintaining and monitoring the company’s accounts payable and receivable financial systems. Handling all general account queries
• Credit control
• Maintain client and supplier due diligence records
• Duty – Assist the Office Manager in reporting for all aspects of Duty, informing HMRC of duty due and maintaining all duty paperwork to ensure that company complies with legislation
Candidates must have:
• Previous workplace experience in a similar role would be helpful but is not essential
• Excellent IT skills and familiarity with Xero or similar accounting software
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Strong communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently
The role will be part time, 15-20 hours per week. Although there will be the opportunity to increase hours as the business expands.
