Background of department/role

The Digital Products team is responsible for delivering and supporting digital products and services that enhance the experience of students and staff across the University. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across academic and professional service areas, the team manages a portfolio of products that support operational effectiveness, service delivery and continuous improvement.

An exciting opportunity to join our Digital Products team, supporting the delivery, enhancement and ongoing operation of key digital products used across the University.

As a Product Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting the configuration, testing, enhancement and operational support of digital products. Working closely with Product Managers, technical teams, users and suppliers, you will help deliver product improvements, support quality assurance activities and contribute to the successful delivery of product change.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience supporting, configuring, implementing or maintaining digital products, systems or services, together with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be organised, detail-focused and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical colleagues. Experience of agile delivery approaches, product testing and supporting operational product activities is essential.

You will be able to manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with stakeholders and produce clear documentation to support product delivery and knowledge sharing. A proactive approach, willingness to learn and commitment to continuous improvement are essential.

Desirable requirements: Experience working within Higher Education and experience of requirements gathering, user story refinement or translating business needs into deliverable product activities would be advantageous

How will you work?

We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is classified as Flexible and connected (Professional Services).

Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus; but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken.
