Reporting directly to the Director of Sport, the Head of Business Development will take responsibility for devising, managing and implementing a cohesive business strategy that supports membership sales and optimises marketing for all sections within Kent Sport. You will also develop innovative business concepts that maximise Kent Sport facilities and services during off peak periods generating additional income without negatively impacting on the student experience.
As a member of the Senior Management Team with line management responsibilities, the role holder will provide valuable links between sectional managers and the Director of Sport
You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification/experience in business development and have a proven track record of business development incorporating multiple income streams.
As Head of Business Development you will be responsible for:
The recruitment, management and development of high-quality staff
Devising and implementing a business development plan that incorporates reviewing current revenue streams and identifying opportunities for additional revenue
Devising, costing and implementing marketing and membership strategies across the Canterbury and Medway campuses
Developing internal and external relationships helping to enhance Kent Sport’s reputation, profile and the student experience
Working collaboratively, effectively and contributing to regular Senior Management Team meetings to develop projects, policy and strategy.
