This modern, tech-savvy accounting firm is looking for a practice-experienced Senior Bookkeeper / Client Manager to join their fast-growing accounting practice. They're looking for someone to work a hybrid role, two days from their offices in Sevenoaks and three days remotely.
You'll be joining a not-your-everyday accounting practice with a fun, vibrant team and a laid-back culture, where no two days are the same and you'll never be bored. They're proud to offer an incredible work/life balance with flexible hours and various wellness perks throughout the year.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' practice experience and be minimum AAT level 4 qualified, having worked with SMEs of all shapes and sizes, with extensive experience using Xero accounting software. Charity experience is a bonus.
Clients are mostly London-based, dynamic, fast-paced, forward-thinking, owner-managed businesses, many in receipt of or seeking funding/investment for fast growth, and expect second-to-none bookkeeping, accounting and client service.
Key responsibilities:
Manage your own portfolio of clients (existing and new as the company grows)
Assist clients with queries of a technical/tax nature
Be the first point of contact for your clients' queries
Undertake bookkeeping work for larger and more complex clients
Liaise with clients and provide financial administrative services
Keep up to date with financial policies, practices, and regulations, and comply with tax regulations
Deal with HMRC correspondence and enquiries
Support third party auditors
Attend internal and client meetings as and when needed
Musts:
Minimum AAT level 4 qualified with at least 5 years' practice experience
Xero and Quickbooks experience and/or certification
Experience with in-depth bookkeeping reviews
Accounting practice experience working on multiple client accounts
Great email/phone/video chat communication and English grammar skills
Client focussed with a positive, solutions-based attitude and mindset
Ability to work independently/remotely and produce accurate work under tight deadlines
A proactive approach to managing your workload and client relationships and be able to work efficiently with minimal senior input
